Pinewood Derby Speed Wheel Asset

Derby Dust ® took the concept of a trued wheel, gave it a coned hub that retained the outer 2 step hub, then mated it with flawless bores to make Pinewood Derby Speed Wheel Asset.  What that means is a  100% Legal  Speed Wheel for 99.9% of packs.  This wheel set has given on average a 0.015-0.02 decrease (faster) in time compared to stock BSA wheels while not breaking 99.9% of all pack rules on our track.  Shave an additional .01-.015 seconds of your race when polishing with our polishing kit / service. Get a better wheel. We are not hiding anything. We tell all. If you want to do it yourself, here are our steps.

The rules of local events sometimes differ from those of BSA box rules. Due to this,  it is necessary to know your rules before choosing our unique modifications for your PWD car.  Each pack’s rules will be different. Specifications:

Derby Dust ® Asset Machined Wheels
OD:  1.174″ Bead/Tread present
AWW:   2.56  / 2.05 grams
Outer Hub:  2 Step, concave head (allows reduced wheel gap)
Inner Wheel Edge:  Lathed True
This wheel has had the outer diameter reduced by .006″.  It will have bead/tread present.    Flawless Inner bores.  The wheels have been sorted for any manufacturing flaws. Meet Most pack requirements.  However it will not meet the 1.180″ outer diameter requirement.  All BSA lettering in tact. MM available.
