All of the imperfections have been removed from these wheels while making them the lightest wheel on the market right around 1.1 gram each!  Almost half the weight has the closest competitor.   Lighter wheel means less rotational drag which means a fast start and lightning fast down the track.

All of the Official Awana ® Grand Prix markings remain in tact just in case your rules require that.

The outside tread is trued, so your wheel is perfectly smooth reducing rotational friction,

The wheel edge is lathed flat to reduce friction when your wheel hits the track guide.

Important:Awana ® Speed Wheels are delicate, due to the spoke design. We strongly recommend using our Axle Pliers so the wheels are not damaged when inserting or removing them.

What is the difference between Awana ® and Cub Scout Pinewood Derby?

With the Awana ® Grand Prix Wheels the wheel design is totally different than Cub Scout Wheels (BSA). Therefore, Awana ® racers must use Awana ® wheels and Cub Scouts must use Cub Scout (BSA) wheels.
